We excel at using our content-driven approach to deliver intelligent and innovative solutions for railway and public transport challenges.
3PT is founded by Erik Jan Kip, Dirk Jan Brakel, and Felix Chang: three passionate professionals who have worked on complex topics in the (inter)national public transport and rail market for many years. A sound basis in knowlegde of the underlying technology enables us to tackle very diverse challenges in fleet, operation and strategy. Solving complex issues in the railway and public transport sector is what we still do at 3PT. This is where our strength lies, what we like, and what energizes us: asking the question behind the question and offer well-considered and successful solutions.
A close team
We are a small, close-knit team with a great deal of substantive knowledge and experience and a conceptual and academic level of thought. We complement each other well and look at things from different perspectives and with a fresh new look. We have a large network that makes us flexible and has every specific expertise within reach. Starting with the content, we work towards smart and innovative solutions.

Dirk Jan Brakel MSc
Dirk Jan is a senior public transport expert, with 20+ years of experience in operations, commerce, business development and technics / maintenance. Electric bus expert. Good with people, good with facts. MSc Physics.

ErIk Jan was a consultant on railway technology, operations and strategy for many years. Before co-founding 3PT he was a systems specialist and technical project manager. He also held several (senior) management positions in the railway industry.

Felix has a long standing expertise of 20+ years in the field of rolling stock and the corresponding aspects such as specification, production, maintenance and authorisation.

Albert Koch MSc
Albert has 20 years of experience in railway operations, rolling stock procurement and fleet management. In addition, being graduated in business administration, he has an eye for people and organizations and the interaction between them. Practical knowledge is kept up to date as he is also a part-time tram driver.
